Band Bio
Formed in 2021, The 45s is a relatively new band on the south coast scene, but is made up of many veteran musicians from in and around Southampton. Formed by lead singer Tony, and, together with guitarists Marty and Rich, the band is made complete with Jay-Lee on bass and Chris on drums.
The band plays popular covers ranging from classic rock, modern rock, through to indie and pop music. The music will definitely get you up and dancing. The band is in high demand with many gigs booked throughout the year and beyond.
TONY STANSMORE
Vocals
As our founding front man of The 45s, Tony draws on his influences and vast musical experience to provide the energy and connection to our fans and audience every time we perform live.
A competent musician also, Tony helps liven our performance with playing the guitar and the keys (not both at the same time we may add)
MARTY SQUIRES
Guitars
A true rocker at heart but able to adapt to any style of music, Marty's guitar riff work brings to life those hit songs our fans love to hear.
With a lot of knowledge and experience to draw on from playing in many other bands, you won't be disappointed with the creative sounds Marty gets out of his amps and pedals.
RICHARD "RICH" MARLOW
Guitars & BACK VOX
Raised on an eclectic mix of genres (rock, pop, 80's hair metal), Rich mastered his craft playing several south coast cover bands over the years, inspired by his dads regular gigging during the 80s/90s.
He now unleashes his breadth of expertise through the bands extensive setlist, heard through his mighty Marshall stack
JAMIE-LEANNE "JAY-LEE" SAUNDERS
Bass & Backing Vox
Jay-Lee has been playing in bands for a good number of years and brings a wealth of experience, including recording bands (qualified sound production engineer & runs own studio).
Jay-Lee is a multi-instrumentalist and has played guitar, drums and bass in many bands, before settling down to the bass with The 45s.
CHRIS THOMAS
Drums
A seasoned veteran on the drums and played in many other bands (including his originals band - The Frontliners), Chris brings that much needed punchiness with the drums to our songs.
Chris's excellent timing and rhythmic knowledge brings on those smashing beats and blistering energy that our audiences love to dance to.
CARLI BARNES
THE REAL BOSS!
Carli is our hero who does all the behind the scenes work, without which the band would not function.
Carli helps book gigs and events, does the graphic work, manages the Facebook page, looks after the band while on stage, helps with all the band gear, manages the sound when playing live, the list goes on!
